JPEGCITY is a real world utility project on Elrond Blockchain to promote travel in the cities as we know them today, using the handmade NFTs as building blocks. We aim to build a descentralized app on Elrond that gives rewards to the tourist that visits the city and to the owner of the city NFT.

The EGLD collected from NFT minting will be staked/farmed, generating rewards for distribution inside the dAPP. The 15% royalties will be distributed as follows: 10% alloted to stake/farm generating rewards distributed to city holders and tourists and 5% to contribute to the Elrond ecosystem for at least 2 years.

The rarity system that JPEGCITY uses is a different one than most NFTs. Each NFT has two types of rarity, but the chances of minting are the same for every NFT, no matter the city rank or city color.

CITY RANK (objective rarity): is based on the rank attributed to the city from a list of the best 200 cities in the world. The final ranking is composed of 5 different scores: the happiness index, the education and innovation index, population by size, GDP per capita and quality of urban development score given by a professional urban planner.

City ranking will affect how often you will receive rewards.

Example: London is more visited than Bucharest, meaning that the London NFT will give rewards more often.

CITY COLOR (subjective rarity): is based on the artistic side of NFT. There are 5 different colors for each city NFT:

• rarity 1 = GRAY (lowest)
• rarity 2 = GREEN
• rarity 3 = BLUE
• rarity 4 = RED
• rarity 5 = GOLD (highest)

City color will affect the amount of rewards received by the NFT holder.

Example: Gray London NFT will reward the holder with 10% of total rewards while Gold London NFT will give 30%

REAL WORLD UTILITY. We promote city travelling by motivating the visitor to acces rewards and giving the owner the opportunity for passive income just by holding a NFT, through the dAPP.

TRANSPARENCY. We will give updates on both EGLD collected though minting, as well as royalties and rewards generated through staking/farming ready to be distributed by the dAPP.

ECOSYSTEM. The EGLD collected from minting and LKMEX rewards from staking/farming will not leave the Elrond ecosystem for at least 2 years. We are in it for the long run!
